LOCAL RECOVERY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS (RCOS)

Peer-led recovery support and community connection beyond the house · Nampa & Caldwell

Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) are peer-led nonprofits that offer social activities, peer coaching, and a sense of belonging outside of formal treatment. They’re a great way to build a sober support network in Canyon County that will last long after you leave Phoenix House.

What Is an RCO?

Unlike treatment centers, RCOs are typically run by and for people in recovery. They focus on community, connection, and long-term recovery support rather than clinical services.

  • Social events, sober activities, and recreational outings
  • Peer recovery coaching and mentorship
  • Recovery community centers where you can just drop in
  • Volunteer and leadership opportunities within the recovery community
Building a life outside of “using” friends and places is one of the strongest predictors of long-term recovery. RCOs make that easier.
Where to Start
Option 1: Southwest Idaho Recovery Community Center (SIRCC)

DROP-IN FRIENDLY · NAMPA

204 9th Ave S, Nampa, ID · (208) 505-5497
A local, peer-run recovery community center hosting meetings, events, and community connection for people in recovery in Canyon County. Most events are free or low-cost and welcome newcomers.
Option 2: All 12 Steps Club

DROP-IN FRIENDLY · CALDWELL

Caldwell, ID · (208) 402-6608
A local recovery clubhouse hosting a wide variety of 12-step meetings throughout the week in a substance-free space. A good option if you want to try several different meeting types in one location.
Option 3: Idaho Recovery & Resiliency Network

STATEWIDE · OPEN TO ALL PATHWAYS

(208) 297-5578
Connects people to peer recovery coaches, recovery community centers, and events happening around Canyon County and the Treasure Valley. Open to all pathways of recovery, not tied to one specific method.
What to Bring / Expect
  • An open mind — every RCO has a slightly different culture and vibe
  • No cost to attend most events, though some workshops may have small fees
  • No specific recovery pathway required — RCOs generally welcome all approaches
What Happens After You Connect

Most RCOs will add you to an email or text list for upcoming events and can introduce you to a peer recovery coach if you want ongoing one-on-one support. There’s no obligation — you can attend as much or as little as you’d like.
